Mission
The mission of the Rosemary Beach Foundation is to promote and support cultural, educational, religious, environmental, literary and other charitable activities in the Rosemary Beach and South Walton County area.
History
The Rosemary Beach Foundation was originally established in 2005 to promote and support charitable activities.
The original Board of Directors were Allen Oser, Lee Sage, Lori Bradley, Kim Jameson and Jim Bagby. The Foundation came from a need and desire to have a focused effort for the many giving events within the town. Initially there were three events: The Jim DelMauro 5K Rosemary Run; the Tunes by the Dunes; and Girls Getaway Weekend. The Foundation has supported many other activities such as the Rosemary Beach Lecture Series and the Art Miles Mural Project.
The Foundation has donated over $260,000 to such worthy organizations as Shelter House, the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund, Caring and Sharing, Childrens Volunteer Health Network, South Walton Montessori Academy, Michael J. Fox Foundation, Cultural Arts Association, Alex LeVasseur Foundation, and the South Walton Community Council.
